Nick Kyrgios has joined Novak Djokovic‘s Professional Tennis Player Association (PTPA). The collaboration aims to improve the playing conditions for tennis players worldwide. The friendship between the two extends beyond the court as they encourage and value each other’s accomplishments. Djokovic prepares to defend his Wimbledon title, while Kyrgios joins the PTPA.

For the uninitiated, The PTPA, which was founded in 2021 by Djokovic and Canadian player Vasek Pospisil, represents the top 200 doubles players from the ATP and WTA rankings as well as the top 500 singles players.

The association specifically emphasizes that it has no desire to replace current regulatory organizations like the ATP and WTA. Kyrgios’ post was shared by Djokovic, who is renowned for his active social media activity, who also expressed gratitude for Kyrgios joining the PTPA. The Serb admits that the collaboration could help tennis players all over the world.

“Super excited to be a part of the @ptpaplayers – amazing initiative. When announcing his PTPA membership, “Any players who have any questions, please feel free to reach out.” Kyrgios wrote on Instagram

In the opening round, Djokovic will face Pedro Cachin of Argentina as he prepares to defend his Wimbledon title. On the business trip, they have not exchanged any words. Djokovic, a seven-time Wimbledon champion, will attempt to win his fifth consecutive title at the prestigious Grand Slam event.

Djokovic is drawn in the same quarter as notable athletes like Kyrgios, Andrey Rublev, and Felix Auger-Aliassime at Wimbledon. The championship game’s potential opponent, rising star Carlos Alcaraz, makes the tournament more thrilling.

Due to their collaboration in the PTPA and continued support of one another, Djokovic and Kyrgios serve as outstanding illustrations of the importance of camaraderie in the tennis community. Fans eagerly await their performances and the impact they will continue to have on both the court and off it as they begin their respective journeys at Wimbledon.
