Nick Kyrgios who is known for speaking his mind out has given another controversial statement. On the Logan Paul’s podcast, ‘Impaulsive‘,the Australian was invited as a guest. He gave his opinions on myriad topics related to tennis and stuff. However, when he was asked who in his view, is the Greatest Tennis Player of All Time in your eyes, He gave a quirky answer.
He shouted Roger Federer and compared him with Michael Jordan. He thinks that both are similar in some ways and can be called ‘greats‘. However, he chose Novak Djokovic above all others as statistically he is better. Following this answer, the interviewer moved on to ask him his views on John McEnroe, Pete Sampras and Andre Agassi.
However, Nick Kyrgios quickly rejected all of these players. In his opinion, the players of the older generation would have no chance in the modern sport.
“It’s the same thing I think (Roger) Federer and (Michael) Jordan are very similar but I think Novak (Djokovic) and all that type stuff is better,” he said on the GOAT debate.
“No way, because I think Jordan can play in this era where like those guys would get absolutely snipped in this era,” he opined on John McEnroe, Pete Sampras and Andre Agassi. However, he did add “Johnny Mac (John McEnroe) is a good guy, crazy though,”.

Nick Kyrgios is ready to partner with Holger Rune
The current World No.19 has missed out on some great tennis action this season. He had to miss out playing United Cup, Adelaide International 2 tournament and the Australian Open this season due to injuries. However, he is on a recovery path and assured his fans will be back soon.
Meanwhile, Nick Kyrgios keeps on surprising his fans. A week ago, he got all his fans excited by sharing his wish to play as a doubles pair with Holger Rune. The Australian has high regards for the young Danish player. He has praised him many times in the past. However, this time, he openly gave this offer.
“Whenever Holger wants, I’m ready. Maybe even later this year in a smaller tournament. I’m sure we would love to play together. We could be a pretty cool doubles pair. So let’s see. Maybe I’ll ask him,” he said in an interview.
Interestingly, Nick Kyrgios has a successful and thriving partnership with compatriot Thanasi Kokkinakis. Both also won the 2022 Australian Open doubles title. Hence, it would be interesting to see how in what circumstances he and Holger Rune come together on the court.
