Nick Kyrgios has declined a huge tempting offer of Novak Djokovic who was trying to take the ‘bromance’ between the two on next level. However, the Australian tennis professional has popped the balloon before it even began to float.

Novak Djokovic had earlier given the offer to Nick Kyrgios to sign him up as his coach. He also promised that with his arrival in Nick Kyrgios‘s team, the Australian’s chances of winning a Grand Slam singles title would increase significantly. He even guaranteed him success.

The American sports broadcaster Tennis TV shared Novak Djokovic’s offer on social media.

I would love to coach Nick Kyrgios, He would win five slams with me, but it would not come cheap,” Novak Djokovic told his wish with his own touch of quirky humour.

Nick Kyrgios though rejected the offer. He told the 22-time Grand Slam champion that he would prefer to have a nice dinner and drinks with Novak Djokovic instead. A social media user shared the statement of the world No.24 the fans of Novak Djokovic and Nick Kyrgios to relish in.

Hahahah…..Instead let’s go and have a nice dinner and some drinks,” Nick Kyrgios told.

The 2022 Australian Open doubles champion can learn a lot from the 10-time Australian Open champion. The most important aspect of the sport that he can learn is to try to be always in best shape possible as the opportunity can beckon at doorstep any time.

Novak Djokovic plays more tournaments than any other player on the Tour. But still he is able to maintain his fitness levels such that he is always ready to beat the best. On the other hand, Nick Kyrgios plays a very few tournaments in a given season on the tour. He is also beleagured with both physical and mental issues which hamper his performance on the court.

He is currently out of action because his knee was operated upon at the start of the year. The surgery, according to him was successful. However, he wants to take enough time before he can make a roaring comeback. The Australian was thinking about a comeback at the Indian Wells Open this year. But that did not happen.

Speculations were ripe that he may return at the Roland Garros as his girlfriend Costeen Hatzi wished to tour Paris. So, he may play at the French Open. However, this does not look feasible now as the current World No.24 would require more time to recover.

Hence, most probably, Nick Kyrgios would return during the grass court swing of the season. He made his mark in the Wimbledon 2022 when he played the final of the gentleman’s singles against Novak Djokovic. Although, he lost against the Serbian, it gave him a lot of confidence to win a Grand Slam singles title in his career.
