While people continue to label Nick Kyrgios as the bad boy of tennis and continue to pull him down, Australian comedian and impressionist Elliot Loney has revealed the loving and caring side of Kyrgios. Loney while thanking the Australian for saving his life revealed that Kyrgios was the first person to call him when he was about to end it all.

Elliot Loney revealed that this year has been so tough for him that he even contemplated suicide. However, Nick Kyrgios came to the rescue, helping the comedian get over this bad phase. The tennis star did everything possible- from staying on the phone till Loney stopped crying to taking him on his family vacation to help Loney overcome this tough phase.

This year for me has been tough. Without doubt, there's been days when I wanted to end it all. I've been a wreck. Pain the likes of which I never thought I'd have to endure. I'll never forget this. The first person who called me? Nick Kyrgios. I was a mess. He stayed on the phone with me until I stopped crying and shared his own similar experiences in losing a loved one/enduring hardship with me so I didn't feel so alone.

When Nick Kyrgios himself contemplated suicide

As Elliot Loney revealed, Nick Kyrgios rescued the comedian and helped him overcome this rough phase which the tennis star himself experienced in the past. Yes, there was a time when Nick Kyrgios thought of ending it all. Those suicidal thoughts were so strong that Kyrgios ended up in a psychiatric ward.

Earlier this year, the Australian tennis ace revealed that after his loss in the 2019 Wimbledon final, he almost went crazy. Kyrgios talked about contemplating suicide before realizing his mistake and visiting a psych ward in London.

I was genuinely contemplating suicide. I lost at Wimbledon. I woke up and my dad was sitting on the bed, full-blown crying. That was the big wake-up call for me. I was like, 'OK, I can't keep doing this.' I ended up in a psych ward in London to figure out my problems.

However, the tennis player worked his way up and got better with the help of doctors. Kyrgios made it to the 2022 Wimbledon final as well. Although he lost to Novak Djokovic, the Australian did not take it to heart. He competed in the tournaments after that. He has been missing the action for almost a year now due to injuries but he is definitely in a healthy space.
