Tournament favorites Novak Djokovic and Aryna Sabalenka are expected to win this year’s men’s and women’s Wimbledon titles. Fans are completely adamant that they are not to be stopped by any of the other competitors in line for the silverware. Novak met Sabalenka before her semi-final clash, shaking hands with her team in delight and sharing a delightful moment.
It’s no secret how much Sabalenka adores Novak, and she has always picked him as the greatest of all time in her previous talk shows and interviews. She has also stated that she has learned many things from the Serbian that have helped her improve her overall game. They even played together for the Falcom team in the World Tennis League, winning a couple of matches.
Fans were left completely delighted with his pre-match conversation between the top two favorites in the competition, with several comments coming in favor of them, such as “This year’s Champions in one video” and so on.
Many would have expected these two to be at this stage of the competition, but the job’s not yet done, and both the Serbian and the Belarussian will be rooting for each other in their hunt for their respective silverware.
Sharing a wide spectrum of reactions online, here’s what fans have to say:
Will Sabalenka and Djokovic be able to get their hands on the golden trophy?
With things coming down to the business end at the moment and both players facing a very tough task in front of themselves at the moment, it would be interesting to see how calm and composed both title contenders remain for the rest of the competition.
Djokovic will play top youth prospect Jannik Sinner in the semis, while Sabalenka will be against the Moroccan force of Ons Jabeur, who has been absolutely ruthless this entire tournament.
While Djokovic hunts for a ton of records in front of him to achieve and Sabalenka looks to get over her last year’s shattered dream when she lost to Rybakina in the final, the fans are trying their best to help the stars accomplish the ultimatum.
Sabalenka will play Ons Jabeur later this evening while Marketa Vondrousova waits for her in the finals after her impressive victory against Elina Svitolina earlier today.
