Tennis as a sport has never failed to cater to its audiences. May it be with absolute thrillers or an upset, tennis mostly lives up to the fan’s expectations.
However, a recent spoof video shared by the ATP Tour’s social media handle has brought the tennis world into absolute splits. In the video, prominent stars such as Andy Murray, Casper Rudd, Novak Djokovic, etc. are trying to make the fans believe that tennis is a ‘scripted sport’.
Besides, it is also shown in the video that the players are actually imitating certain fictional characters.
Yeah, I mean, I think that people don't realize. Like it's all just scripted, the player and the matches are all made up. It's a bit like wrestling and nothing is real. We usually get our storylines at the start of the year. And we just try to make everything natural. The two-time Olympic gold-medalist Andy Murray said.
According to the stars, this is done to market the organization to more and more audiences. And as Murray said, people are foolish and will buy anything.
Interestingly enough, Murray also believed that he and his counterpart, Novak Djokovic, should be nominated for the Oscars. Even the current World No. 1 was part of this hilarious spoof video, where he opened up about the fact that he has actually been a part of the show for the last 16–17 years.

In the video, Djokovic was found saying that Novak is just a character. And he is trying to bring it to life so that people can relate to it.
Something that I'm really trying to evolve with this Novak character is not just achievement and performances. But more of an essence and personality. I want to bring truth to Novak. The Serb said.
Even other prominent stars, such as Carlos Alcaraz and Taylor Fritz, were involved in this act. As expected, fans have gone bizarre in the comment section of the post. Many users even said that the five-minute video by ATP was better than the two seasons of Break Point (a Netflix series).
