Djokovic lashes on the crowd during the first round of the Australian Open
If one had to jot down all the rivals of Novak Djokovic, one familiar with his history would write ‘the crowd’.
It is not now for Djokovic to create controversies on the match court, especially with the audiences. Out of all the big names in tennis, Djokovic’s is one of the most hated players.
His altercations with the audience during Wimbledon were very viral, with him being booed down every second.
On the same line, even today, the Serbian could not hold himself back from getting all heated up. While playing against Dino Prizmic, Djokovic got flustered by the noises created by the crowd and yelled at them, “Shut the f*** up!“.
Soon after, the umpire had to intervene and ask the crowd to maintain the decorum inside the Rod Laver court. While Djokovic’s irritation with the audience was palpable, he maintained his calm and continued the play. However, the incident heightened the already tense situation.
