Serbian tennis pro Novak Djokovic hits the courts after a rather disappointing performance at the 2024 Australian Open. The World No. 1 lost in the semi-finals to Jannik Sinner, marking his first-ever semi-final loss at the Australian Open.

Something seemed off right from the very beginning. Although he reached the semifinals, Djokovic had to fight it out for wins. Be it against Dino Prizmic, Alexei Popyrin, or Taylor Fritz, the Serbian ace seemed to struggle with his game.

Then, in the semifinals, Djokovic faced Jannik Sinner, who completely blew him away, at least in the first two sets. Djokovic could win only three games in the first two sets. He came back in the third set to win it, but Sinner was at it again in the fourth set, winning it 6-3.

With this defeat, Djokovic’s campaign at the Australian Open came to an end. The Serbian then took some time off and went on a vacation with his family in Italy.

Recently, the 36-year-old was spotted practicing on the court as he gears up for his next performance at Indian Wells. Djokovic returned to the courts for the first time since his loss in Melbourne to seek to win his seventh title in California. The Indian Wells, also known as the fifth Slam, is scheduled to commence on March 6th, as all the previous winners and top ATP players look to win the prestigious ATP 1000 tournament.
