Novak Djokovic became the fifth player in the Open era to win 90 or more ATP singles titles. He is the defending champion at the 2022 Paris Masters and is looking to win his third consecutive ATP title of the year. He is determined to claim his dominance at the major tournaments and issues a crystal clear warning to the younger generation of players that have been making all the right noises in the tennis community right now.

He is on a 9-match winning streak without dropping a single set in both tournaments. He remains undefeated after being unable to participate in the North American swing. Despite making a late start to the year due to his unvaccinated status, he intends to end the season on a positive note and improve his overall ranking points.

Djokovic funnily teased them that he won’t go easy on them just because they are younger than him and will always showcase his best run, no matter what. The six-time Paris Masters champion faced deportation in Australia at the beginning of 2022 due to his unvaccinated status and hence failed to defend his title. As per the rules laid by the Australian government, a deported person’s visa stands canceled for a total of three years. Despite the recent changes in the immigration rules of the country, his chances to participate at the 2023 Australian Open are nevertheless hanging in uncertainty, eliciting a plethora of reactions online.

The 7-time Wimbledon champion expressed how he respects Australia as a tennis nation and their point of view in relation to him and the world situation. Djokovic further revealed that his lawyers are in talks with Australian Open authorities to reverse his three-year ban from entering the country. He stated that he is assertive of his chances of participation with some positive signs but hasn’t received anything officially.
