The tennis world buzzed with excitement as the tour headed on to the USA, where two of the most prestigious ATP Masters tournaments took place. First comes the Indian Wells, and then the Miami Open, together known as the Sunshine Double.

Headlining this tournament is Novak Djokovic, who returned to California after five long years. Amidst all the COVID chaos and the issues around his vaccination status, the Serbian was not allowed to participate in many tournaments.

It's been 5 years…way too long to not be part of the Tennis Paradise tournament, one of the best tournaments in the world, probably one of the favorite master's tournaments of so many players including myself.
Said Djokovic Instagram video as he is preparing for his second tournament of the season

The 36-year-old was last seen at the Australian Open semi-finals, where he faced a tough loss against the in-form Jannik Sinner, who went on to win the tournament. Hoping to get back to form, the Serbian leads the tournament from the front and is one of the favorites for this tournament

Back in 2008, Djokovic won his first Indian Wells title, and from there on, he managed to win the title four more times in his career, becoming the leading Indian Wells winner.

I can't wait to come and perform once again in front of some of the best tennis fans we have out there on Tour.
Said Djokovic in an Instagram video for BNP Paribas’s official social media handle.

He is one of the few tennis stars that make the headlines of this tournament.

Joining the Serbian is his rival, Rafael Nadal, who makes a second attempt at a comeback and looks to stay for a longer time this time around. Furthermore, the young tennis stars and the past winner make an appearance to give the fans another two weeks of entertainment.
