Novak Djokovic has been one of the most successful players in the history of the Australian Open. With a record 10 titles at Melbourne Park, Nole stands fairly up and above the rest.

However, in a post-match interview with the Australian Open presser, Nole opened up about his love for the trees and the Botanical Gardens in Melbourne. In the interview, the defending champion was asked about his connection with a special tree.
To which the Serb said during post match conferenceThere is one particular tree that I've been having a special relationship within the past 15 years. I love every corner of Botanical Gardens. I think it's an incredible treasure for Melbourne to have such a beautiful park of that nature in the middle of the city. But that I particular tree I cannot reveal, which one. I try to keep it, you know, discrete for myself, when I'm there to have my own time.
The defending champion further added that he liked the trunks and branches of the tree and thus started climbing it a few years ago. The Royal Botanical Garden, which Nole was talking about, is just 1.5 kilometers away from Melbourne Park.
Novak Djokovic continues his dominance in Australia
With a win over Alexei Popyrin in the second round of the Australian Open, the defending champion qualified for the third round of the tournament.
Though Popyrin fought wholeheartedly, it was not enough to withstand the potent force of the Serb.
With the win, Novak extended his record to 14-1 against the Australians. His only loss came in the 2005 US Open.
In the third round, the defending champion will be up against Argentina’s Tomás Martín Etcheverry.
