Before traveling to Los Angeles for the 2024 Indian Wells, Novak Djokovic enjoyed a lovely holiday in Italy and the Serb clearly cherished the personal time. He skied at Val Gardena Ski and posted a picture of himself in full skiing gear, wearing a green army puffer jacket, on his Instagram story.

Nole tagged the sports equipment company ‘Head’ that sponsors his rackets and also happens to make skiing equipment. In one of his stories, he also claimed to have broken a “New super G record of the World Cup Ski slope.”

Today, the Serb posted a video of his experience skiing at Val Gardena Ski on Instagram reels and wrote, ‘Throwback to the recent skiing trip’. He also paid tribute to the famous Italian alpine skier, Alberto Tomba. He wrote ‘Tomba La Bombaaaaa’ which is the nickname that was given to Alberto Tomba for his aggressive and all action skiing style.

The funny part about the video was that it was sped up and thus Novak Djokovic’s voice sounded like that of a minion. Some fans pointed it out in the comments and it was hilarious.

Apparently, skiing is a hobby that all the great tennis players share. Roger Federer is pretty open about how much he loves to ski and he has recently started to ski again ever since his retirement. Jannik Sinner, on the other hand, was a competitive skier, and he was pretty good at it. He later chose tennis over skiing.

Djokovic traveled to Los Angeles a few days ago to start preparing for the Indian Wells. Coincidentally, he shared the same flight as Rafael Nadal and met him in business class. The two clicked a picture, and the Serb shared it on Instagram for their followers to see. It caused quite a stir in the tennis world.

The last tournament that Novak Djokovic played was the 2024 Australian Open, and he met an unexpected fate there. The Serb lost to Jannik Sinner in four sets in the semifinals and it was his first-ever loss in an Australian Open semifinal match.

Nole will now look to redeem himself in the Indian Wells, participating in it after a gap of five years. He last played in the Indian Wells back in 2019 and is the most successful player in the ATP 1000 event alongside Roger Federer (5 trophies each).
