“Show me the fan attendance between both” – Novak Djokovic winning twice the prize money as Coco Gauff for winning the Cincinnati title has fans divided on equal pay for players
A feud occurs on social media between fans after a post regarding the inequality of pay among men's and women's tennis players goes viral.

For quite some time, there has been a lot of fuss about the demand for equal pay between men’s and women’s sports in different sports. This time after the Cincinnati Open, a fan posted something related to this topic, pointing out the major differences between the prize money that Coco Gauff won compared to that of Novak Djokovic.
The fan focused on terms such as Djokovic and Gauff playing in the same venue and also playing the best of three sets, and despite that, Novak is receiving more prize money. He posted, “Novak Djokovic will receive $1,019,335 for winning the ATP1000 event in Cincinnati. Coco Gauff will receive $454,500 for winning the WTA1000 event in Cincinnati. They played at the same venue all week. They played best of three sets all week. They will not get paid the same.”
Some of the fans heavily pounced on that fan with several hate comments and went on to rate men’s tennis way ahead in terms of competitiveness and excitement compared to women’s tennis.
That’s not all: Some even pointed out the reason with a simple indication, which was to compare the fan attendance at the stadium for men’s and women’s tennis.
