Djokovic is having a rather dull 2024, as he was not able to pull off victories. The 36-year-old usually starts the year with a couple of wins, but this time around, he is a bit off with his game. After the Australian Open semi-final exit, he lost in the Indian Wells second round as well, adding to his misery

Now, the Serbian has withdrawn from the Miami Open and will probably feature in the next tournament on clay. With the French Open nearing, Djokovic would eye a title on Rafael Nadal’s home ground, getting back in form. The whole world is awaiting a return from the World No. 1, especially his fans.

Novak Djokovic’s nightmare continues in 2024 as he falls to another young Italian at the Indian Wells

World No. 1 Novak Djokovic continues to face problems with young Italians as his recent losses have come in the hands of only Italians. His 2023 season ended with a loss to Jannik Sinner, and even his 2024 season began with a loss at the hands of the same at the 2024 Australian Open.

Following this, it was another young Italian, Luca Nardi, who caused a major upset at the Indian Wells. He spoiled Djokovic’s return to the desert by creating history.

With many other top players withdrawing from the tournament or having bad runs, Djokovic is also put in the same category, possibly nearing his retirement.

There have been many speculations about Djokovic entering the same run as Nadal and Andy Murray. With most of the season remaining, the Serbian has a chance to get back on the field and prove himself in front of the crowd.
