The Australian Open finals are underway as the young Italian Jannik Sinner takes on the very experienced Daniil Medvedev. With Novak Djokovic out of the tournament, the Australian Open is all ready to welcome a new champion. However, it doesn’t seem like the rest of the country is ready to do so.
With World No. 1 Djokovic advancing to the next round, the ticket prices also got higher for his match. It went as high as 5000–6000 AUD.
However, interestingly enough, Djokovic lost his 6-year record at the Australian Open against Jannik Sinner in the semi-finals. With that loss, the Serbian lost his title defense, and his top spot might also take a hit after the tournament.
Other than his top spot, even the Australian Open ticket prices took a major hit. With one of the favorites out of the race, fans have supposedly lost interest in the finals as the ticket price went down quite a bit.
