Australian Open ticket prices took a huge hit after Djokovic's loss in the semi-finals against Young Jannik Sinner.

The Australian Open finals are underway as the young Italian Jannik Sinner takes on the very experienced Daniil Medvedev. With Novak Djokovic out of the tournament, the Australian Open is all ready to welcome a new champion. However, it doesn’t seem like the rest of the country is ready to do so. 

With World No. 1 Djokovic advancing to the next round, the ticket prices also got higher for his match. It went as high as 5000–6000 AUD.

However, interestingly enough, Djokovic lost his 6-year record at the Australian Open against Jannik Sinner in the semi-finals. With that loss, the Serbian lost his title defense, and his top spot might also take a hit after the tournament.

Other than his top spot, even the Australian Open ticket prices took a major hit. With one of the favorites out of the race, fans have supposedly lost interest in the finals as the ticket price went down quite a bit.

The prices fell from 5000 AUD to 1799 AUD, triggering a wave of reactions from the fans.

After Djokovic’s semi-final loss, many fans were obviously disappointed as their favorite contestant lost. However, this disappointment affected the ticket prices at the Australian Open, which took a major hit after the Serbian’s exit.

With the ridiculous drop, fans elicited a plethora of hilarious memes and trolls on social media. With multiple reactions, fans have taken over the internet over the price drop. Nonetheless, there are still many fans from both players to create a good atmosphere in the stadium. With Italian flags soaring high, an exciting match is underway.

With that being said, Daniil Medvedev takes on Sinner for the most prestigious title in Australia. With or without the huge number of fans, they promise an exciting game of tennis as two talented stars battle it one last time at the 2024 Australian Open. After losing over 10 titles to Djokovic, it will soon be time for a new champion to replace him.
