Serbian legend Novak Djokovic is aiming for a perfect finish at the Year-end Championship where he is a five-time champion and his last win was in the year 2015. Despite missing tournaments in the Australian and North American leg, he qualified for a record 15th time in Turin. He looked debonair and suave as he walked on for the pre-tournament ceremony and carry forward his duties of media interactions and interviews.
Novak Djokovic is the second oldest player at the 2022 ATP Finals after World No 2 Rafael Nadal. He is part of the lethal Red Group along with Daniil Medvedev, Stefanos Tsitsipas, and Andrey Rublev. The Serb is one of the favorites to win the coveted title since he has been seamless with his performances after the 2022 US Open. He managed to win two out of the three consecutive finals and even became the fifth player to win 90 or more ATP titles in the Open Era.
The 21-time Grand Slam winner wore a white shirt with beige pants and a green-blue striped jacket from his clothing sponsor Lacoste at the pre-tournament event. He paired up with white sneakers, a watch on the left wrist, and orange-rimmed sunglasses to further accentuate the look. Novak Djokovic looked very handsome and left everyone mesmerized by his charm on the blue carpet.
As soon as pictures and videos of the ceremony were up on social media, everyone was in awe of his charisma and good looks. But what piqued everybody’s attention the most was the approval of his looks and style by his wife Jelena Djokovic, who has been the biggest supporter of the Wimbledon champion at all times. She showered love and reacted with an ‘all-heart’ emoji as she shared a story on her official Instagram account.

Novak Djokovic had bounced back brilliantly after the US Open and was on a 13-matching winning streak until his loss in the finals at the 2022 Paris Masters. But his semifinal clash against Stefanos Tsitsipas in Bercy caught everybody’s attention, for which he was accused of doping charges since team members were seen mixing a drink for the 9-time Australian Open champion hiding from the cameras. What startled everyone was the way they were hiding the mixing process and tried avoiding being seen, which hinted as if there was something fishy in the drink.
Naturally, Jelena went on to defend her husband and claimed that nothing mysterious or fishy was present in the drink. She even clarified that the accusations against Novak Djokovic were totally baseless and urged viewers to respect their privacy. Jelena even went on to point out that nowadays trying to be private with their personal life makes people assume wild things.
Djokovic’s challenges throughout the year seem endless. It all started with his deportation from Australia due to being unvaccinated, despite entering the country with a valid medical exemption. As per the deportation rules by the government once deported, the visa stands canceled for three years, and as a result, the Serb’s visa stands invalid as of now. He even had to miss all tournaments in the North American swing and fell out of the Top 5.
