The ‘Big Three’ of tennis has been undoubtedly the most potent trio in the history of the sport. Their rivalry has been written in the history books of tennis.
The records they have built and the places they have conquered through their determination are second to none. Various critics and tennis pundits have picked their favorite among them and there have been various rivalries among their fans, with the only question of who is the best among the three?
Tennis legend Serena Williams‘ former coach Patrick Mouratoglou picked a diplomatic yet controversial statement regarding his favorite among the three. Mouratoglou praised Roger Federer for his elegant playing style. But picked the player with the most achievements among the three as the GOAT.
In his tweet on X, Mouratoglou said,
No doubt that Roger’s elegance and inspired tennis is unmatched as much as there is no discussion about who is the Goat. In that matter, sports achievements are the only metric.
The comment was an indirect remark to Rafael Nadal‘s comments. The Spaniard’s comments conveyed that Federer is the player who has impressed him the most.
Mouratoglou is full of praise for Novak Djokovic after his superb 2023 season
Patrick Mouratoglou has always been praised for Novak Djokovic. In a recent interview with El Paris, the Frenchman said,
I’ve never seen in the history of tennis someone who is on top of their game at 36, as much as they were at 26, 28. It’s a whole career of being at the top.

Nole has been one of the most potent players in the 2023 season. Even at the twilight of his career, the Serb won three Grand Slam majors along with winning the ATP Tour Finals. He lost just one match in the Majors in 2023.
With the mega event of the Australian Open all set to commence on 14th January, Djokovic will look to defend his title in Melbourne Park. His old foe and career rival Rafa will also be in the draw for the tournament.
