Paula Badosa and Stefanos Tsitsipas confirmed as team partners while Iga Swiatek and Frances Tiafoe are also set to feature in the 2023 World Tennis League
As the World Tennis League is all set to go underway from 21st December, the announcement of teams has set the stage on fire.

Paula Badosa and Stefanos Tsitsipas are both confirmed as team partners at the 2023 World Tennis League. The rumored couple will be playing alongside Grigor Dimitrov and Aryna Sabalenka on the SG Mavericks Kites team.
Iga Swiatek and Frances Tiafoe will also be gracing the court in the 2023 World Tennis League. They will be playing for the Hawks and the Honorfx Falcons, respectively.
The 2023 World Tennis League is set to start on December 21st and will continue until December 24th. It will be the second edition of the league. The 2022 edition has been won by the Hawks, consisting of Alexander Zverev, Elena Rybakina, Dominic Thiem, and Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova.
The tournament is played in a round-robin format that consists of a men’s singles match, a women’s singles match, and a mixed doubles match. After the end of the round-robin stage, the top team will play in the finals.
The tournament consists of four teams, namely the Falcons, Eagles, Kites, and Hawks. Some prominent names are set to feature in the 2023 World Tennis League. Daniil Medvedev, the former No. 1, will be playing for the Eagles.
Hubert Hurkacz will also be wearing the shirt for the Hawks in this edition of the World Tennis League. However, for most of the players, this will be their first outing in the league.
What is the World Tennis League?
The World Tennis League is not a WTA/ATP-facilitated league. However, on a sports and entertainment basis, it is a great initiative. Moreover, the tournament will feature some of the standout players, making it a popular attraction in Abu Dhabi.
Prominent music artists such as 50 Cent and Akon will also be present during the program.
The tournament is to be played on hard courts at Yas Island’s Etihad Arena. Apart from the players, there have also been changes regarding the ownership of the franchisees.
Toyam Sports Limited has announced it will take ownership of the Hawks this season. The defending champions will be owned by Pacific Star Sports, a UAE-based subsidiary company of Toyam Sports Limited.
