Spanish tennis ace Paula Badosa was in awe of her boyfriend and Greek ace Stefanos Tsitsipas who brought her flowers on the court during a training session in Dubai. As the former World No. 2 prepares to stage a comeback after an injury-marred 2023 season, Badosa is training in Dubai. Tsitsipas, who also did not have that great a season is honing his skills before another grueling season kicks off.
As has been the case ever since the two players started dating each other, Badosa and Tsitsipas are accompanying each other and helping in the preparation for a fresh season ahead. Amid all the sweating and gasping, Tsitsipas found a way to win over his girlfriend once again as he brought Badosa red roses.
The video of the Greek ace bringing a bouquet of red roses went viral on social media. While fans applauded the cute gesture, Badosa was also in awe of her boyfriend’s caring and considerate nature. She loved the gesture so much that she called Tsitsipas the best.
My man came to surprise me. He’s the best.Paula Badosa wrote while sharing the video clip on WhatsApp (as per Stefanos Tsitsipas fan account on X).
A fresh challenge awaits Paula Badosa and Stefanos Tsitsipas
While Paula Badosa and Stefanos Tsitipas’ personal life is right on track, both players need a shot in the arm in their professional lives. Both Badosa and Tsitsipas and Badosa had a below-par season in 2023. While Badosa could not win even one singles title this year, Tsitsipas won an ATP 250 title in Mexico.
The World No.6 also managed to qualify for the 2023 ATP Finals on the back of his final qualification at the 2023 Australian Open and some good showings in the first half of the season. However, Tsitsipas lost momentum midway and could not win anything else. He reached the semifinals in Antwerp.
Badosa, on the other hand, last played at the 2023 Wimbledon where she was forced to retire against Marta Kostyuk in the second round. She could not recover and hence stayed ruled out for the remainder of the season. Nevertheless, the Spaniard seems to have made good progress in her recovery and will be hoping to make a comeback with Brisbane International.
Tsitsipas also stands a chance to correct his mistakes and start afresh. The Greek has shown good agility on the court and the only issue seems to be a mental block which might be cleared after spending some time with his ‘Holy Trinity’.
