Ons Jabeur made her place in the final four of the 2022 US Open for the very first time after she defeated Ajla Tomljanovic in straight sets in her first quarter-final appearance at the US Open. She did not have a significant start to the North American swing but soon bounced back with her powerful performances in New York as she made her place in the semi-finals.

She became the first Tunisian player to have reached the finals of a Grand Slam tournament in the Open era when she made her way into the finals of Wimbledon which was also her maiden singles final appearance. She lost to Elena Rybakina in the finals where both were making their maiden final appearances and looking for their first Grand Slam title.

Jabeur is a formidable player in the world and has solidified herself as one of the best players around in the WTA with her excellent performances recently which is evident as she comfortably sits at the rank of world number 5 in the WTA rankings.
