The 22-time Grand Slam champion, Rafael Nadal, was seen hitting a few balls with French tennis teen and prodigy, Arthur Fils, at his own Academy. Rafa is currently preparing for a solid comeback to the sport once again.
In an interesting turn of events, the NextGen ATP Finals runner-up was visibly frustrated. He was seen smashing his racket while playing a practice match with the 14-time French Open champion.
The two were recently seen hitting a few rallies and playing some practice matches at the Rafael Nadal Academy in Kuwait. While they battled it out in the practice game, the experienced Spaniard was proving to be too good for the French teenager to handle, which forced him to smash his racket in frustration after losing a point against the former World No.1.
Nadal aims to make one final comeback in his career in the 2024 season after sitting out for the entire year of this season. He has also started training rigorously to play in his supposedly farewell tour and claims that being able to play competitive tennis will be his main objective rather than aiming for a Grand Slam, as it seems too far-fetched.
As Rafael Nadal aims to make a comeback, Arthur Fils dreams of defeating him at the French Open to make a mark
The finalist of the NextGen ATP Finals has made some high claims of wanting to defeat the ‘King of Clay Court’ at the Roland Garros to establish himself in the world of tennis. He also talked about how defeating the 14-time French Open champion at the center court at such a young age would be a big thing as he would immediately announce himself in the tennis world.

As the former World No.1 gets ready to make a comeback for probably the last time in his career, he will face a tough time getting back on top of his game and finding his rhythm yet again. It will be an exciting year to see the Spanish legend play for one last time next year.
