While Rafael Nadal is a legend in the sport of tennis, the Spaniard is no rookie in golf. In fact, Nadal’s second favorite sport seems to be golf, considering he is often seen with a golf club in his hands during his free time. Now, the 37-year-old was once again seen trying his hands on the sport as Nadal prepares to make a comeback on the tour.

Nadal shared a picture of him playing golf on Sunday. This comes a few days after the Spaniard confirmed his comeback to the tour with Brisbane International. The Spaniard will be returning after almost a year-long injury layoff. And now, as Nadal seems ready to compete at the highest level in tennis, the Spaniard is enjoying his time off the court before a grueling season kicks off.

Nadal picked up the golf club and seemed to enjoy his time on the course. The 37-year-old Spaniard posed for the camera with a wide grin on his face. The 22-time Grand Slam winner was in all-whites except for the sweatshirt.

The Spaniard had won the 2022 Australian Open after coming back from an injury layoff. Nadal had won a marathon game against Russian ace Daniil Medvedev in the final. Nadal had carried his form into his home slam- the French Open. He went on to win his 14th title on clay.

However, he could not end the year on high, listing to Nick Kyrgios in the semifinals at Wimbledon while bowing out of the league stage at the 2022 US Open. In the 2022 ATP Finals as well, Nadal failed to make it to the semifinals. The injury troubles returned and the Spaniard could not sustain it for long.

Eventually, he decided to take some rest after getting knocked out from the 2023 Australian Open. Nadal underwent surgery on his hip and began his rehabilitation. Slowly and gradually, he recovered and started training again. The 37-year-old showed no hurry in announcing his comeback.
