Tennis legend Rafael Nadal has entertained tennis fanatics throughout the world with his dazzling prowess on the tennis court leaving an everlasting impact for decades to come. As much as the Spaniard has loved tennis, he never failed to shy away from his love for football and his boyhood club Real Madrid. Leading by example, he has also been associated with the club in one way or another supporting them from time to time and also sharing moments with their players.

In a recent interview with Movistar, Nadal expressed his interest in fighting for the Real Madrid President candidature. The current president, Florentino Perez shares a great relationship with Nadal and he would be adamant about leaving the chair in good hands with the hope of taking the club to its new heights. When asked by the moderator, Juanma Castano about the possibility of him being the next president of Real Madrid, Nadal said, “I don’t have that dream but I would like to.”

He also provided his trust in Perez ensuring the world that Floretino is the best probable resident the club can ever have at this moment. He added, “But today there is nothing to say because we have the best president possible. Then, life takes many turns and we have to I wonder if one is qualified for certain things. I think that ‘you’ make films. I think I don’t meet the requirements to be one.”

He also stated that the signing of Kylian Mbappe is all he expects in the future and is eager to see the Frenchman lead the attack in the coming days. He added, “There has also been a spectacular signing like Bellingham. One more striker would be good. I would welcome Mbappé with open arms. Who doesn’t like Mbappé? He has no obligation to come when the fans ask for it. If he comes, I will feel gratitude, not resentment.”
