As the 22-time Grand Slam title champion, Rafael Nadal gears up to make a solid and probably his final comeback on the tennis court, he was recently seen taking a sly dig at racket smashers in the sport while he was showing his training kit.
The 14-time French Open winner in the video, showed viewers that he only had one racket to play with as he sent the others to a stringer for maintenance.
He also joked about how, since he only has one, he cannot afford to break it as he will be using it to train and play a few practice matches.

The former World No. 1 has been training rigorously as he aims to play one last farewell tour before he bids goodbye to the sport for good. Before one of his training sessions, he jokes about how he will only be playing with one racket and that he cannot afford to smash it out of frustration.
He may have been indirectly hinting at a few well-known players to show their frustrations and tantrums on the court when they break or smash rackets during a game. Some players who have had a history of racket-smashing are Nick Kyrgios, Novak Djokovic, Andrey Rublev, and a few others.
The Spaniard is known for his calm and composed nature on and off the court as well. The 22-time Grand Slam champion has not once broken his racket in a game and is not someone who allows emotions to get the better of him during tense and pressure situations. This quality of his has always given him an upper hand in his career.
Rafael Nadal is all set to start his 2024 campaign with the Brisbane Open
The former World No. 1 has confirmed his participation in the upcoming Brisbane Open at the start of the 2024 season as he aims to make one final comeback to the sport before taking a possible retirement.
The Spaniard has been missing in action almost the entire year this season due to injury concerns. However, in positive news for tennis followers and fans, he has time and again announced that he will play once again next year.
Talking about his comeback season, Rafael Nadal has stated that he prioritizes being able to play competitive tennis once more rather than winning a Slam, and more importantly, the Roland Garros.
He has mentioned that he understands that winning a major at this stage of his career will be an enormous task. He has also expressed his desire to play in the 2024 Paris Olympics and represent his country alongside fellow tennis player and countryman Carlos Alcaraz.
