In a video that has recently surfaced, Tennis sensation Rafael Nadal can be seen training in the gym of the Rafael Nadal Academy in Mallorca, Spain. The clip has exhilarated tennis fans from across the world, as they are now sure that the Spaniard is serious about making a comeback for his farewell season in 2024.
For the unitiated, Rafael Nadal suffered a hip injury at the very beginning of this year that has kept him out of action since the Australian Open. It was initially estimated that he would be out for just 6-8 weeks, but the 36-year-old is taking much more time to recover. It will take him much more time to become completely tournament ready.
He had earlier announced that he wished to retire after the 2024 season. However, fans were worried about whether his fitness would permit him to return to the court at all. This video of him training in the gym has revived hope among those fans. In the video, Nadal can be seen doing cross cable exercises and some leg exercises as well.
Talking about Nadal’s potential comeback and recovery, Toni Nadal, his uncle and former coach had said to ClayTenis, “Rafael is 37 years old and the years are heavy. What I know, because I’ve talked to him, is that Rafael wants to come back and wants to recover fully. If he recovers fully, I think he’ll want to keep going.”
Rafael Nadal in contention to replace Florentino Perez as Real Madrid’s president

In the past few days, rumors of Florentino Perez stepping down as president of Real Madrid have surfaced all over the internet. At the same time, it is also being circulated that, if it so happens, either Rafael Nadal or Spanish F1 star Fernando Alonso might replace him as Real Madrid’s next president.
Rafael Nadal has been a Real Madrid fan since long ago, and he has good relations with Florentino Perez as well. However, experts believe that the idea of him becoming the next La Albiceleste president is too far-fetched and probably bad for the club’s future.
Meanwhile, a past comment of Nadal regarding the possibility of him becoming the Real Madrid president has resurfaced. In 2017, the tennis star had said, “If you ask me if I would like it, of course I would, why not? But there is more to it. II think it will not be. We are very good as we are. We have a great president right now, and I don’t think Real Madrid needs me.”
Real Madrid, however, has debunked these rumors as false in an official club statement.
