Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer are two of the greatest tennis players of all time. The two have 41 Grand slam titles between them and both have spent a significant amount of time at the top of the world rankings.
However, both the players have different styles in which they play and prefer different surfaces to play on. Nadal is called the ‘King of Clay’ and has lived up to the title by winning 13 French open titles in his career till now. Whereas the Swiss Maestro has been one of the greatest players on grass for the longest time.
However, before the beginning of Roland Garros 2022, both Nadal and Federer had 105 victories each at the French Open for Nadal and Wimbledon for Federer. But with a phenomenal victory from Nadal in the first round of this year Roland Garros Nadal has surpassed Federer to have the most wins in a particular Grand Slam.
Rafael Nadal achieves yet another record in 2022
And now in addition to that, the Spaniard has achieved yet another phenomenal record leaving his counterparts behind. It will be interesting to see if Djokovic is able to win the French Open and equalize the record for winning the most number of grandslams.
