The Roger Federer legacy is being passed down to his kids. Roger Federer in an interview mentioned that all 4 of his kids have started developing a love for tennis. He talks about how he makes time to coach his kids and spend time with them on the court. He admits that it is a different dynamic with them as he is their father and not a former player to them.

Federer mentioned that while the 2 of his girls were at the John McEnroe Academy at Hampton, both his boys were at the Rafael Nadal Academy at Mallorca for a couple of days. Federer also talks about how he himself takes out time from his schedule to share his knowledge of the sport with his kids.

Talking about his kids’ love for the sport Federer said,” All four kids love it. The girls didn’t love it in the beginning but as they got better, they’re enjoying it and playing points now.” He also talks about coaching his kids. He added, ” When I have time — and I try to make the time — I go on the court with them a little bit. It’s obviously an interesting dynamic because I’m the dad and not a former player. It is what it is.”

Roger Federer’s love for his children is very evident. The fact that he always took them along on Tour is enough evidence of how close he is with them. He further mentions that the hunger to win more also aroused within himself after the birth of his boys and he took it up as a challenge.

Roger Federer sent both his boys to the Rafael Nadal Academy to train at Mallorca for a couple of days, thereby keeping his promise to his arch-rival and very good friend, Rafael Nadal. He mentioned that his children liked spending time at summer camps and training for the sport.

His kids have started to develop a love for the sport which has given their father everything. The sport indeed misses one of its greatest players ever and who knows if his legacy is passed down to his kids in the future.
