With this year’s edition taking place in London, Federer announced that the tournament will be partnering Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge in supporting two charitable organisations based in the UK. The LTA Tennis Foundation and the Action for Children UK will be the two charities that will be helped by the partnership between the tournament and the Duchess.

Excited to announce that Laver Cup is partnering with The Duchess of Cambridge this year to raise funds for two incredible charities – @actionforchildrenuk and the @LTA Tennis Foundation. Thank you for your support, and I look forward to seeing you in London!” wrote Federer in his latest Tweet.

Action for Children UK has the Duchess as their royal patron and it is one of the many charities that the Royal Family member overlooks. With the Duchess also an avid tennis lover, often spotted at the Royal Box in Wimbledon being the Royal Patron of the All-England Club as well, the association with the Laver Cup will be a big one for the charities as the tournament brings the best of the players on both teams and the proceeds from practice day’s ticket sales will be distributed between the two charities.
