The 20-time Grand Slam Champion, Roger Federer was seen attending the Laver Cup in Vancouver, Canada. He is not the only known figure attending the event. Basketball and NBA legends, Dirk Nowitzki and Steve Nash were also spotted with the Swiss legend watching the two teams battle it out against each other.

The 3 were sitting together in a row and Dirk Nowitzki posted a picture of them on his social media handle. What amused the fans most was the caption that the NBA legend wrote. Dirk described the picture as sitting with one of his sports heroes, by which he meant Roger Federer, while completely ignoring fellow Basketball player, Steve Nash, who was sitting on the extreme right in the picture.

Roger Federer will attend all 3 days of the Laver Cup, this time only as a spectator who is supporting Team Europe. He also gave some advice to the newcomers on how to play together as a team. Team Europe will look to stop Team World from defending their title this year.

Roger Federer retired from the sport last year this time after the completion of the Laver Cup 2022. He also led Team Europe to victory in 2017, 2018, and 2019. Many big names have attended the Laver Cup including the likes of Dirk Nowitzki, Steve Nash, Roger, and a few of the Coldplay band members as well.

The former World No.1 was spotted sitting and chatting with Chris Martin, a member of the Coldplay band. Fans were delighted to see them together again. Federer had recently made his stage debut on receiving an invitation from the band to perform with them in their concert in Zurich.

Roger Federer admitted that he made the right decision to play the role of a shaker in the band as he did not want to miss out on any opportunities in life. He also revealed how he was hesitant in the beginning and his daughter eventually urged and convinced him to go on stage.
