20-time Grand Slam winner Roger Federer has always carried himself fabulously around the world. Be it on the court or his off-the-court personality. Whatever the situation, irrespective of the event, Federer never fails to draw attention. At the recent black carpet event of the upcoming Laver Cup in Vancouver, Federer was seen wearing a black tuxedo suit attracting much attention.
One of the moderators couldn’t control himself eventually asking him the most coveted question.“How do you pose on a red carpet or on a black carpet? Maybe for a player that hasn’t done it this many times,” he asked. Federer sounded really smooth when he revealed some tips for the new generational stars such as Ben Shelton, Christopher Eubanks, etc., who were invited to the event for the first time.
Federer advised the players to take care of their personality and not so much about the suit. He also finished off his list of advice by asking the players to not go hard and rather take the carpet walk similar to a walk on their house carpets.
Federer said, “Don’t sweat it. It’s just another carpet. You know like at home, like you walk on carpets at home. So, try not to overthink the moment and try to wear the tuxedo you’re wearing or the suit and not let the suit wear you. That’s the biggest advice I can give, you know.”

How have the two teams lined up for the upcoming Laver Cup?
With the Laver Cup kicking off on Friday, 22nd September, the line-ups have already been released. This time the teams selected by the two captains namely, Bjorn Borg and John McEnroe look very intimidating at the same time very exciting as well. The blue strips of Team Europe will be worn by the likes of Casper Ruud, Andrey Rublev, Hubert Hurkacz, Alejandro Davidovich Fokina, Arthur Fils, and Gael Monfils.
The team chosen by Borg raised a lot of eyebrows as he put his trust in the newer boys. Hence, he decided not to go with the likes of Andy Murray, Rafel Nadal, Novak Djokovic, and even Stefanos Tsitsipas who featured last year.
On the other hand, the red strips of Team World will be donned by Taylor Fritz, Felix Auger-Aliassime, Frances Tiafoe, Tommy Paul, Ben Shelton, and Francisco Cerundolo which looks like a really strong and balanced lineup.
