Roger Federer recently had a meet-up with his godchildren through his sports aid from the Roger Federer Foundation, whose education he is sponsoring. Despite Federer’s retirement, the occupancy rate of the sports aid has not been reduced, and his parents, Robert and Lynette Federer, are looking into the administration of the Roger Federer Foundation.

For me too, it is always amazing how relaxed and open Roger is with people. And it’s beautiful that he always likes to have us with him, us, his parents.

Robert talked about how his son’s retirement changed their lives. He admitted that the biggest change that happened was in the amount of time they were traveling around the world and that he missed it.

I still deal with a huge pile of fan mail. You would think this would diminish after Roger retired. But this is not the case.

For the uninitiated, Roger Federer retired from professional tennis at the 2022 Laver Cup. Notably, it was a very emotional moment for the players and fans alike. Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal had been rivals on the field for decades, and both players were seen in tears.

However, even after his retirement, Roger Federer is pretty active in the tennis world, and he still follows the sport closely. In fact, he was even invited to the 2023 Laver Cup as a guest.

Roger Federer’s father says he loves spending time with his grandchildren

The most important thing for Robert Federer is the time spent with his grandchildren. He said that sometimes there’s an excursion with Roger’s sister Diana’s 13-year-old twins. Sometimes they look after Roger’s children as well.

Robert said:

We like to take our grandchildren to the mountains. In Appenzell or Valbella. In this Graubünden mountain resort, the family owns two chalets.

Roger Federer and his wife Mirka have two sets of twins together, i.e., four kids. They have twin sons, Lenny and Leo (9 years old), and twin daughters, Myla and Charlene (14 years old).
