Roger Federer’s ‘ON’ sign Iga Swiatek and Ben Shelton with the Swiss maestro personally welcoming the two

Iga Swiatek recently announced that she has been named the first tennis player to serve as the On running, a Swiss sportswear company’s worldwide ambassador. Roger Federer has previously collaborated with the brand in 2021. Federer has been an investor in On since 2019 as well. The brand is looking towards competing with other major sportswear companies.
Swiatek ended her collaboration with Asics to join the sponsorship deal with On, a comparatively younger brand. World No.1 took to social media to announce the significant development. Iga said, “I am happy to announce that I am the first athlete to work with On.” As a three-time Grand Slam champion and the top-ranked WTA player, the brand will surely capitalize on the partnership.
On running also welcomed the Pole on their social media platforms. The six-time Ironman champion Olivier Bernhard founded the running shoe business On in Switzerland. The business increased its value from zero to nearly $7 billion in just 11 years. The shoe brand is making its mark in the scene, which will be furthered by the likes of Swiatek and Ben Shelton.
The 21-year-old also stated, “I appreciate that On team believes in me as a tennis player and a person.” She hopes to grow along with the brand and use their joint influence ‘positively’. An upcoming shoe line, in collaboration with Switaek, will be part of Roger Federer’s “The Roger Pro” series. Federer first launched the series two years ago.
By working with the development team, On aspires to build a brand to relate to the individual player’s style. Swiatek has previously collaborated with Nike and Asics. She won three majors in association with Asics and hopes to build a similar relationship with On. Additionally, Federer has expressed his excitement for the newly minted collaboration as well.

Ben Shelton to partner with On, along with Swiatek
Ben Shelton won’t be seen wearing New Balance clothing any longer as well. Along with Swiatek, the 2023 Australian Open quarterfinalist is now the first male tennis player to represent On running. The 20-year-old was signed by Federer’s sports management company Team8 after turning pro in August of last year.
It is no surprise to see the emerging American talent team up with the Roger Federer-backed company. Shelton has already been adorning some On apparel off-court recently. The 16-year-old junior Brazilian player Joao Fonseca has also signed with On.
