“Same medical care and same unusual performances?” Tennis Twitter arouses suspicion over possible doping by Carlos Alcaraz following the footsteps of idol Rafael Nadal
Rafael Nadal & Carlos Alcaraz
Carlos Alcaraz won the US Open earlier this week defeating Casper Ruud but not without triggering suspicions of him doping and allegedly following in the footsteps of his idol Rafael Nadal. Tennis community over Twitter has been constantly back-lashing the Spaniard over using illegal methods to stay consistent.
Earlier in a post-match interview with Casper Ruud, he was asked about giving his remarks on Carlos’s miraculous recover after playing back-to-back intense matches to which in a statement he replied down-playing the topic and using diplomatic words to suggest possible doping by the Flushing champion.

“How many players bring their doctor on tour?” Tennis Twitter sent in a frenzy over Carlos Alcaraz’s mirrored practices as Rafael Nadal’s
Carlos Alcaraz’s recent performance in New York has diluted his reputation to an extent where he has been seen as both a star and an enemy of the sport. The recent doping allegations spiraling around him have everyone questioning the authenticity of the Spaniard and his abilities to perform on-court.
This recently took a steep dive when the US Open champion’s medical history was dug and it turned out that both he and his idol Rafael Nadal have been under the care of the same doctor which in turn has turned these speculations into wider allegations of committing to the prohibitive and unethical conduct of doping malpractice.
Here are some of the Twitter reactions recorded favoring his doping allegations:
Carlos Alcaraz after claiming the Flushing Meadows title gained himself the rank of world No. 1 and has been named the youngest player ever to achieve that mark.
The speculations made by tennis Twitter were mostly witnessed coming from Novak Djokovic fans who were evidently in support of their favorite de-class Nadal and anyone else remotely associated with him. Nevertheless, after observing the Spaniard’s performance, doping can be noted as a possibility for an athlete whose records and history match much with his idol who ironically has been accused of the same numerous times. These allegations although have seen the light of the day, they, however, cause irreparable damage to the player’s career.
