Roger Federer, the former world number has been out of action since Wimbledon in 2021 when he lost in the quarter-finals and went for another knee surgery and rehabilitation that kept him out for months. He will most likely make his return to the court at the Laver Cup in Team Europe along with his arch rivals under the leadership of captain Bjorn Borg.

He created history by becoming the youngest and first teen player to become the World number one in the ATP rankings. He had already didn’t have a great start to his North American swing as he faced a shocking elimination in the first round at the Canadian Open and had managed to reach the quarter-finals of the Cincinnati Open.

During an interview, Alcaraz upon being asked about the next big thing on his list revealed that he desires to play against Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, and Novak Djokovic at the Grand Slams tournaments. He said “Playing against Roger Federer would excite me and beating a Big Three player in a Grand Slam. I’ve always said that in order to be the best, you have to beat the best.

Alcaraz is 1-2 against Nadal at all the three matches played at the Masters1000 events, while he has played only once with Novak Djokovic and is yet to play against the Swiss maestro since he has been quite very inconsistent on the Tour and his last match was in 2021.
