Incredible Iga is on the move. In the Australian Open, she was at her mercurial best but was defeated by even better World No.27, Danielle Collins. She strengthened her position by winning 5 WTA titles in a row. Iga then clinched the French Open women’s singles title.

At Wimbledon, however, she had to exit from the Championships in the Third Round after losing out to Alize Cornet in straight sets. But US Open saw her renaissance of sorts as she defeated everyone to win her second grand slam major of the year.

In the AGEL Open, she competed against Barbora Krejcikova but lost in the final. She defeated the Chinese Qinwen Zheng in the Round of 16 match 6-4 4-6 6-1 in the ongoing San Diego Open.

Coco Gauff is one of the most talented young players on the WTA Tour. This year, she started slow but has picked up pace subsequently. She lost in the first round of the Australian Open but managed to advance to the quarterfinal of the Qatar Open.

In the same tournament, she teamed up with fellow American Jessica Pegula to win her first major WTA 1000 doubles title. She stormed into the Final of both women’s singles and doubles of Roland Garros. This is going to be a close match. Iga Swiatek will be itching to get her hands on the 8^thWTA singles title. She has been great this year beating all her opponents but Coco Gauff will be a different challenge altogether. It promises to be a mouth-watering encounter.
