It has been such a long time since we have seen Serena in action and it will very exciting to watch the 23-time Grand Slam champ make a comeback to professional tennis.
Another glaring name in the list of Wild cards was that of Stan Wawrinka. The Swiss player has won three grand slams in his amazing career and hasn’t been playing a lot of tennis at the highest stage. He has been suffering from injuries and has been absent from major tournaments for some time now and it is exciting to watch him back in the mix.
The list features 13 players out of which 10 are from Great Britain. It is surprising that most of the players who have been handed the wild cards at Wimbledon. Serena Williams is back in action at Wimbledon

Serena Williams played her last match at Wimbledon and had to retire due to an injury. Now, the 40-year-old has made a surprising reappearance one year after her last match. It was awful to watch a champion a player who has won the Wimbledon title 7-times in her career exiting the court without completing a single set.
The wait to watch her come back and win her 24th grand slam title was getting longer and longer and with time the expectation of people to watch her make history was getting lower and lower. The American is just one title away from equaling the great Margaret Court who has the record of winning 24 grand slam titles.
It would be a phenomenal achievement if Serena makes a surprising comeback at Wimbledon and wins the much anticipated 24th title and makes history once again. It is a hard road but if there is a player in the world who could achieve this it is Serena Williams
