Serena Williams babbles about an embarrassing incident with her husband Alexis Ohanian before they started dating on her cluelessness over ‘Reddit’

Speaking on The Drew Barrymore Show, Serena Williams recently opened up about how she met her husband Alexis Ohanian and also shared some funny stories about the same. The glamorous couple got engaged in 2016 after a few years of dating and then got married in 2017. They are still happily married and are parents to a beautiful daughter, Olympia.
They first met at a restaurant in Italy and Serena shared that during the early days, she didn’t know what Reddit was. Alexis is the co-founder of Reddit and it’s a bummer that Serena didn’t know about it back then. She shared that
On the very first meeting, Serena tried to get rid of Alexis and made up a story that there was a rat in the restaurant but to her dismay, he wasn’t afraid of rats. “Alexis looks and doesn’t flinch,” Serena shared. “And I’m like, ‘You’re not afraid of rats?’ And he’s like, ‘Um no, I’m from Brooklyn. But is there even really a rat there?’ I guess he always knew I was full of stuff.”

When Reddit’s topic came up, Serena acted as if she knew what it was when she didn’t and to her embarrassment, Alexis counter-questioned her. “So I didn’t know what Reddit was and then we’re like, ‘Oh we love that!’ And he’s like, ‘Oh, have you seen it? What do you like?’ And I was like, ‘Uhh….” she said.
Serena shared another incident of the early days when they met. She casually invited him to watch her play in Paris and didn’t expect him to come. But she showed up and that was when Serena and Alexis had their official first date.
“I literally did not want him to come. I was not thinking about it that way or anything. And then he’s like, ‘Oh yeah, I’ll be there,’ and I was like, ‘Oh man, what have I gotten myself into?” Serena revealed.
