Despite a tough loss, the youngster is already back in training and is only aiming to move forward as time progresses. Many tennis enthusiasts, including the legendary Rick Macci, expect more from the US Open champion.

She's not going anywhere, we talked about this before. She's a teenager, one of the best backhands on the tour. But I actually like her backbone better than her backhand.I love her motto, 'No days off'. Coco's only gonna get better. And what I really love, is she has the mindset of Roger Federer.
Said Macci in the short interview.

While recapping the 2024 Australian Open on NBC News, Macci said that Gauff has one of the best backhands on Tour, but her backbone is even better.

He also compared the youngster to Roger Federer based on the mindset she has about the game. With a fierce motto like hers, the youngster is pushing to do better than before.

After becoming the youngest US Open winner, the 19-year-old entered her second consecutive Grand Slam semi-finals at the Australian Open.

After running through her previous rounds with ease, she fell short of Aryna Sabalenka in the semi-finals. Gauff might have ended her run in the semifinals, but she also reached a career-high ranking of World No. 3.

This kind of form from the youngster made her one of the major contenders for various tournaments. Even the former coach of Serena Williams, Rick Macci, strongly reckons the American to have double-digit Slams next to her name.

Stepping out of her teens, the American has made her name known in the tennis world and is currently one of the most promising players on Tour. With that being said, there is no denying that she is constantly on the lookout to improve.
