Serena Williams’ husband Alexis Ohanian fanboys for Colin Kaepernick as he makes a special request to the San Francisco 49ers

Alexis Ohanian and Colin Kaepernick
Alexis Ohanian, a well-known entrepreneur and for the sporting world, the husband of Serena Williams, is a big-time user of Twitter. He uses the platform to voice his opinion on various issues and that range in all spectrums of the world including technology, sports, politics, etc.
Ohanian recently took to his official Twitter handle with a special request to NFL’s San Francisco 49ers. The 49ers currently sit on top of the ranking table in the West and have the 4th best record this season across the whole NFC. Despite this, Ohanian had a request that could possibly strengthen the team.
Ohanian urged the 49ers to re-sign quarterback Colin Kaepernick who is currently a free agent. Kaepernick played for the 49ers from 2011 to 2016 as he was the 36th pick in the second round of the 2011 Draft. Despite not having played a single match since 2016, Ohanian hoped to see Kaepernick donning the red, gold, and white jersey of the Niners.
“Hey @49ers you should give @Kaepernick7 a workout,” tweeted Ohanian attaching a GIF of the player from the time he was active. He later added another tweet that read, “Think of the story!! @EmmanuelAcho I’m not crazy.”
Chances remain slim for Alexis Ohanian’s wish to be fulfilled

While Ohanian and other fans of Kaepernick can hope to see the player return to the league, the reality could be very different. From the 2016 season, unhappy with the rising cases of racial violence, police brutality, and oppression, Kaepernick began to kneel during every national anthem as a sign of protest.
This led to a massive outrage against the player including then-President Donald Trump. Trump in all his straight-forwardness had told all NFL teams to ‘fire’ any player who did not respect the national anthem. With media scrutiny and constant media attention, the 49ers were left with no choice but to bench Kaepernick who became a free agent post the 2016 season.
Since then, the player has seen his career take a completely different turn. With no team ready to sign him, he became a civil rights activist hoping to bring a positive change in society. While he remains adamant about his principles, the chances of him getting an NFL contract once again are slim.
