American tennis icon Serena Williams’ husband and Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian took himself as well as his fans down memory lane as he visited the Waffle House where he first came up with the idea to start the social media platform. Ohanian shared a clip of his visit to the Waffle House with him narrating the story in the background. 

The American entrepreneur revealed that he came out hungry after appearing for LSAT in 2003. He thought he would be a lawyer but then he went to the Waffle House to have breakfast. Sitting in Booth 19, he came up with the idea of starting Reddit and his life changed forever.

The video then shows Ohanian paying a visit to the Waffle House. During his visit, a funny yet heartwarming incident also took place that left everyone in splits. So, as Ohanian was sitting and having his waffle and sipping coffee, one of the staff members (not knowing Ohanian) narrated to him his own story.

She tells about how Serena Williams’ husband came up with the idea of Reddit while sitting in the same place. Ohanian hears the story till the end and then reveals his identity which leaves the staff member giggling and screaming with joy. The two also click pictures together.

Alexis Ohanian met Serena Williams for the first time in 2015 at the Cavalieri Hotel in Rome and got engaged in 2016 at the same hotel. The power couple of tennis had their first child in 2016 and got married in 2017. This year, Serena Williams and Alexis Ohanian had their second child. But did anyone know how they met for the first time?

For those who don’t, Alexis Ohanian made the revelation a couple of weeks ago. The Reddit co-founder revealed that returning as the Executive Chairman of the company in 2014 helped him meet the 23-time Grand Slam champion.
