“She does not like Black tennis Players” Chris Evert labelled RACIST after fans notice her criticism of Coco Gauff and Serena Williams

Coco Gauff enjoyed a good run at the US Open before Caroline Garcia defeated her in the quarterfinal in straight sets, 6-3, 6-4. World No. 12 Gauff caught everyone’s attention with her incredible form at her home tournament. Being just 18 years old, she became the youngest quarterfinalist at the grand slam since 2009.

After her agonizing loss to Garcia, Coco Gauff said, “After everything that happened in Cincinnati… I didn’t think it was gonna be that good of a tournament for me, So I think it was good how I was able to bounce back, and I really proved to myself mentally that I can come out of these tough situations and do it.” Former US Open champion Chris Evert is now being slammed for her baseless criticism of the young star.

Chris Evert is accused of biased commentary against Coco Gauff

Chris Evert is under much scrutiny now after journalist Chuck Modi pointed out that Evert has been biased with her commentary. He pointed out that Evert chooses to remain silent during Gauff’s incredible points but is quick to criticise the young star’s mistakes. Fans also pointed out that this partiality happened with Serena Williams too.

A fan also pointed out this pattern claiming, “I think Chris Evert has a problem with Black women. I have watched tennis for years she praised Lindsay Davenport & Jennifer Capriati yet attacked Venus & Serena. The negativity is exhausting. Coco is only 18, will be top-10 next week. She is improving & learning.”

Chris Evert’s stance on these allegations remain unclear but the fans are definitely pointing out her directed commentary during these matches along with her negativity towards black women. Coco Gauff on the other hand remains unbothered. After the match the American teenage star said she was satisfied with her run at the US Open. She added, “First quarterfinal too, at the US Open, and so there’s a lot to be proud of. But like I said, definitely disappointed, but I think it makes me wanna work even harder and I feel like I know what I have to do.”
