Eurosport commentator Chris Evert has shared her enthusiasm for the emergence of a “very interesting” rivalry between Iga Swiatek, Aryna Sabalenka, and Elena Rybakina. She believes that these players could become the equivalent of Federer, Nadal, and Djokovic in women’s tennis.
Despite the retirement of Serena Williams, Evert is optimistic that these three stars, who have already won five Grand Slam singles titles collectively, could become “great champions” in the near future. On Elena Rybakina, Evert added, “I don’t think her personality was one that she took advantage of after winning Wimbledon to the extent that other players have in the past with appearances and magazine covers and endorsements and being on talk shows.”
Evert commented on Rybakina’s personality, saying that she prefers to live a quiet life and is content with that. Evert also said that Rybakina doesn’t seek attention, which is why she is not often seen in the public eye like other players who have won major tournaments.

Aryna Sabalenka made a gesture by sticking her tongue out at Elena Rybakina

While Elena Rybakina was giving her acceptance speech for winning the Indian Wells tournament, Aryna Sabalenka, the second-place finisher, was seen sticking her tongue out in a playful, teasing manner. The incident caused laughter among the spectators, and both players seemed to take it in good humor. There was no indication that the gesture was meant to be disrespectful or malicious.
Elena Rybakina emerged victorious in the Indian Wells final, defeating her opponent in two straight sets, with a score of 7-6 (11) 6-4. This was her first title win at the Miami Open, and she attributes her success to her ability to clinch the closely contested first set.
Aryna Sabalenka spoke of Elena Rybakina in a positive light, stating that while she doesn’t know her very well, she seems like a friendly and likable person. Sabalenka also acknowledged Rybakina’s skills on the court and described her as a good person both on and off the court.
