Serena Williams is back after a year and will be playing at Wimbledon. She is coming back after what was supposedly a very different year for her. Last year her performances off-court were much more special when compared with the ones on the court. However, we haven’t watched her play in ages and it could be that she surprises the world by performing well at Wimbledon.

She has been one of the most promising tennis players in the history of the sport. She has dominated the world stage for years and has won 23 grand slam titles which seems unreachable for any player playing right now. She is truly one of the greatest of all time and she is shown time and time again why she is ahead of the competition and could never be ruled out of a fight.

It is going to be tough competition in front of her, to play against some of the highest-ranked players who are much younger than her. They have good form behind them and have played for a long time on the tour in the recent past. Nevertheless, it is still not enough to rule out the Queen of WTA.

Serena Williams could surprise everyone with her performance this year

If Serena Williams is comfortable with her fitness then there is nothing that could act as a barrier to her success. Last year at the same Serena was here playing the first-round game but wasn’t able to make it till the end of the first set. An injury forced her to retire from the match and it brought her worst performance at Wimbledon in years.

She and each and every genuine tennis fan in the world would hope that this time around her performance is similar to the ones that we are known of seeing from her. She is a majestic player who if fit could still beat the highest-ranked players in the world.

Her former coach Rick Macci also made the observation that “If Serena gets a few wins and believes you never know as she is just wired differently than the rest of the non-goats!”
