Souvenirs at the 2023 Australian Open cost a fortune as prices of various items revealed

The Australian Open 2023 is underway. However, more than great tennis action on the court, it is also making headlines for the exorbitant prices that are being charged from tennis fans who want to flock to the stadium and enjoy some wonderful tennis.
The British newspaper The Daily Mail has listed some of the items which are selling at a premium price at the Australian Open. The fashion brand Ralph Lauren is one of the sponsors of Australian Open and one of its backpacks is selling for $449- $41 expensive than its retail price on its website, where it is being sold for $408. Other Ralph Lauren souvenirs and accessories are also quite expensive.
AO water bottles are being sold for $99 each while visors are being sold for $68. For an attire of the ball boy, purchaser may have to shell out $179. But even food and drink is also quite expensive for tennis fans. Beer is not so cheap and is selling for $13 each, while a selection of food items are also selling at premium prices.
Tickets for matches at Rod Laver Arena, Melbourne Park are selling for $99 each but are expected to increase in the next week. The only souvenir that is coming easy on tennis fans pockets are fancy hats in different colors. Each hat is selling for $30. But a bucket hat is expensive for $130.

Three days of action at Australian Open 2023 men’s singles event

Tennis fans eagerly wait for the first Grand Slam of the season every year. Everybody is in a party mood in Australian during this time and enjoy magnificent tennis action under the glorious Sun. However, this time many fans were worried because of their favorite stars withdrawing from the event citing different reasons.
Carlos Alcaraz, Venus Williams, Paula Badosa, Naomi Osaka, Nick Kyrgios, among others, are some of the tennis stars which the Australian Open lacked this year. However, the action on the courts did not drop.
The defending champion Rafael Nadal took the court on the first day against Jack Draper. But he had to fight his way through to win the first-round match. However, he was defeated by Mackenzie McDonald in the second round match in what is the biggest upset in the Australian Open 2023 until now. Meanwhile, his rival Novak Djokovic won his first-round match.
Also, all top seeds including Casper Ruud, Stefanos Tsitsipas, Felix Auger-Aliassime, Daniil Medvedev, Andrey Rublev and Hubert Hurkacz won their first-round matches. But the classic match was between Matteo Berrettini and Andy Murray. The British legend against all odds, defeated the Italian in a marathon match that went on for more than 4 hours. The five-time Australian Open finalist defeated World No.14 6-3, 6-3, 4-6, 7(9)-6(7), 7(10)-6(6).
