The United Cup outing for world No. 4 Stefanos Tsitsipas is indeed a good one. Although his team, Greece, couldn’t qualify for the finals of the inaugural edition, it was a good performance individually for this Greek star. The team lost in the semi-finals against Italy and failed to qualify for the finals. However, the team’s only semi-final victory came from this star, who defeated world No. 14 Matteo Berrettini 4-6, 7-6 (2), and 6-4.

He won all his singles matches in the tournament, showing the world he is ready for the Australian Open. He was quite successful in mixed doubles, too, partnering with Maria Sakkari. All in all, he had a good outing in the United Cup and played a key role in helping Greece reach the semis.

Due to the latest news of the withdrawal of world No. 1, Carlos Alcaraz, Stefanos gets a higher seed in the upcoming Australian Open. This world No. 4 is likely to get a 3rd seed in the men’s singles draw. Stefanos, now that he has won many Japanese fans’ hearts, is all set for a wonderful season in 2023, starting with the Australian Open.
