19-year-old Holger Rune is having the best season of his career so far. By reaching the quarter-final of his debut French Open Main Draw this year, Rune has announced his entry into the tennis world. He has won ATP-250 Munich Open (Clay) this year and has a win-loss record of 37-26.

After losing to Cameron Norrie in the US Open 2022 third round in straight sets, Rune reached the finals of the ATP-250 Sofia Open, the tournament he played after losing in the Quarter-final against Kazhak World No. 38 Alexander Bublik in the ATP-250 Metz Open. His final loss in Sofia Open was against Swiss World No.62 Marc-Andrea Huesler in a match where he was expected to win.
