There have been many instances when tennis players have been asked about what would have been their profession had they not picked up a racket. American ace Taylor Fritz was also asked this question and while many give some cliche answers, Fritz showed clarity of thought when he said that he would have been a model if not a tennis player.
The world no. 10 said that he used to tell his friends that he would become a model if tennis did not work out for him. Fritz made these comments during a photoshoot for the C Magazine. The 25-year-old American also said that becoming a professional tennis player might have temporarily shut the door on his modeling career, but he will look to build a brand for himself in the future.
“Over the past few years, I have been a lot more into fashion. It’s something that I definitely want to do more of to build my brand. I remember saying to one of my friends when we were 15 or 16 that if tennis didn’t work out, I would model. And obviously, tennis has opened the door to do a lot of things,” said Fritz (via C Magazine).

Taylor Fritz’s girlfriend Morgan Riddle makes life easy for the American ace
Joining Taylor Fritz in the photo shoot for the C Magazine was his girlfriend and TikTok influencer Morgan Riddle. The two have been together for over two years now. Riddle gave up on her job and turned into a social media influencer just to travel with Fritz in different parts of the world. Riddle revealed that she was not into tennis too much as she came from Minnesota, a state where hockey is more relevant.
However, she liked being with Fritz and they moved in together just after two weeks of meeting. But their schedules clashed. This resulted in Riddle giving up her job as Fritz wanted her to be there when he played a match.
“Taylor and I had been together for two years,” she says. “I’d been working a corporate job and was waking up at 3 a.m. to take meetings in the hotel room bathtub while he was sleeping. It got to a point where I said, ‘I can’t make my life work with yours if our careers are not somehow intertwined.’ He wanted me to travel with him full time — and he plays better when I’m there — so we said, ‘What are we going to do?’”
The couple got an answer when Riddle shot a GRWM (Get Ready With Me) for a tennis match and shared it on TikTok. It garnered over 1.5 million views and since then, Riddle has been vlogging from different tennis stadiums and trying to attract a younger audience while Fritz finds his comfort in being around her and playing tennis.
