Americans are dominating the ATP rankings, as four out of the top 15 players in the world are from the United States. Taylor Fritz, Tommy Paul, Frances Tiafoe, and Ben Shelton are the four Americans in the top 15 of the ATP rankings. While Fritz is ranked 9th, Paul and Tiafoe are in the 12th and 14th positions, respectively. The latest to break into the top 15 is Ben Shelton.

The 20-year-old gained four places following his title win in Japan. Shelton is now ranked 15th in the world, and Taylor Fritz is proud of this fact. The 25-year-old proudly shared a post that stated the fact that four Americans are in the top 15 of the ATP rankings for the first time since 1997.

This is indeed a proud moment, not just for Taylor Fritz but for the Americans. Their four players are in the top 15 in the world. All four of Fritz, Tiafoe, Paul, and Shelton have been faring decently on the ATP Tour. For instance, Ben Shelton just won his maiden tour-level title in Japan as he beat Aslan Karatsev in the final of the ATP 500 tournament.

Tiafoe, on the other hand, has won two singles titles this season: the Houston Open and the Stuttgart Open. He also reached as high as World No. 10 earlier this season and made a run to the quarterfinals of the US Open last month before being defeated by Shelton. Tommy Paul, meanwhile, has also had a solid season that includes reaching the semi-finals of the Australian Open and defeating then-World No. 1 Carlos Alcaraz at the Canadian Open.

Taylor Fritz, the top-ranked American in the world, has won two titles (ATP 250) so far this season. Along with that, the 25-year-old also managed to win the United Cup and reached the quarterfinals at the US Open. Fritz was also consistent in making it to the semifinals at a few ATP Masters tournaments. Now, the American will be aiming to lift his first ATP 500 title in Basel.
