World No. 1 Iga Swiatek has jumped on the bandwagon to congratulate the NFL champions Kansas City Chiefs. The Chiefs defeated the San Francisco 49ers in the Super Bowl LVIII by a close margin to successfully defend their title.

The NFL has seen a massive rise in audience watching the sport and the credit largely grows to Chiefs’ star Travis Kelce. Ever since he started dating Taylor Swift, fans of the singer have taken a keen interest in the sport.

With Swift’s popularity growing by the day, her appearance at the Chiefs game sees even the cameras focusing a lot on her. This has resulted in many fans of Swift, often called the ‘Swifties’, also tuning in for the matches.

As the 14-time Grammy winner made her way to Nevada to support her boyfriend, she was the center of attention almost every time the action stopped on the field. Following the Chiefs’ win, Kelce and Swift took center stage as videos and photos of them celebrating and partying did rounds on the internet.

While Andy Murray was quick to make a sarcastic remark on the ‘big involvement’ of Swift, Swiatek took a rather traditional way. The Pole sent out a congratulatory tweet to the Chiefs’ official handle after they put out their tweet to celebrate their successful title defense.

Swiatek showed her appreciation with a small message to the entire team of Chiefs.

Netizens question the real intent of Iga Swiatek’s tweet

As soon as Swiatek tweeted out her congratulatory message, netizens swamped on her tweet debating her true intention of sending the message. The four-time Grand Slam singles winner has been a huge fan of Swift and is self-acclaimed Swifty.

The Swifties have taken a liking to this and has seen the World No. 1 often get big support from the singer’s fandom, especially on the social media. There however remained a faction of X (formerly Twitter) users who believed the three-time French Open winner tweeted only to get noticed by Swift.
