Adam Peaty: I’m inspired by all the top players but Roger Federer is the one where I think he’s just class
Federer is being hailed by sports personalities all over the world, and how the stands are filled with athletes and celebrities when he plays. Recently, English Swimmer Adam Peaty said a few words about the former world No.1 where he spoke about his attitude & longevity.
The three-time Olympic gold medal winner said, “I’m inspired by all the top players but Roger Federer is the one where I think he’s just class, isn’t he?” said Peaty. “The way he comes across, how he performs, his attitude in the sport, that’s someone you want to look up to, you get to your late 30s or early 40s still doing your sport then why not. That’s another 10 years or more and it’s a brutal sport especially as you get older but you find new ways don’t you.”
Adam Peaty (27 years old) is currently at the top of his game and he wants to replicate Roger’s legacy as well as longevity in his sport (swimming) which would be quite challenging as it is impossible to say whether he will be performing at the same level after 10 years for now but if he stays dedicated through all these times, who knows he might be ‘the Roger Federer’ of swimming.
